A Nation of Shopkeepers

May 21, 2020

Napolean Bonaparte once said that we were a nation of shopkeepers. It was meant in a derisory way, naturally. But, many true words said in jest? That we are a nation of shopkeepers and we are also a proud nation, one who understands what it is to do a days work and to step up when needed.

This could not be more true than in our North Yorkshire spa town of Harrogate. A bustling little town, full of vibrant, exciting businesses and shops. Our shops are one of the main attractions when it comes to tourism.

By having a town with a variety of independent retailers it allows for a rich and unique tapestry, the very essence of England today and it is at this uncertain time when we must support all of these wonderful businesses to stop them from closing their doors.
