New Year, New Walks

January 04, 2021

Happy New Year to each and everyone of you!

We hope that your Christmas break had all of the best ingredients, good food, gifts and merriment, wherever and whoever you spent it with.

We had a lovely break spent here at home in Harrogate and have spent the first few days of this new year exploring our town and its many walks!

Here are a few snaps from our favourite amble... the perimeter of RHS Harlow Carr. It has beautiful Silver Birch Trees, Old Oaks, trailing streams and undulating topography, not to mention the wildlife! We saw countless squirrels and birdlife. It was like being in Canada if we do say so ourselves!

To experience it for yourself, simply walk past Harlow Carr and before the kennels and cattery on the left hand side, take a left down to the abandoned Harrogate Arms pub. Walk towards Harlow Carr and you will see a little walk way down by the side of the fencing, follow the walk around to the left and you will come out on the road side heading down towards Beckwithshaw. A lovely 45 minute trek for those looking for a quiet moment.

We also love the walks around Bilton, not far from Artists' House which take you down toward Ripley, you'll enjoy a bit of suburbia, before tumbling countryside - great for getting the kids outside, there's plenty to see!

New Years mean new beginnings, better ways of being and have a huge amount of excitement associated with them. This year is no different, and perhaps this new year is much more salient given our current circumstances.

We wish you and your family the happiest and healthiest of years!
