You have heard me talk a lot about places to visit, things to do, places to see.  

I have told you about our incredible castles of Skipton and Ripley. I have often spoken of Harewood House and Stockled Park and their many events. 

Events 

Yes, events. The many events Harrogate, Leeds and York host throughout the year. From the Great Yorkshire Show (happening next month by the way) to live concerts and Crime Festivals. Yes I have told you about them all! 

I have announced Harrogate Fashion Week, Photography Viewing Days and special offers all across our social media. 

And I was happy to do it, don't get me wrong! 

Town Life

I love my town. Very much it's true. I want to see it flourish and the tourists to keep coming- after all that is what it was built for! 

What I love Most

But what I really want to talk about today, is the magnificent Yorkshire Dales! They are right there, just asking to be explored! We call it God‘s Own County for a reason. 

I have been to many places in the world and seen many things, but as yet nothing has held a candle to the fabulous Yorkshire countryside I have the pleasure of walking through everyday. 

Yes come for our events. Come for the castles and the fun days out! Come and eat in our restaurants and try out the cafe's. 

But why not stay a while and go hiking through the dales, before heading back to sit in front of a log fire with a good book. 

Now doesn't that sound like a great day?
