Raworths Harrogate Literature Festival 2024
October 04, 2024What is the Harrogate Literature Festival?
This is the festival for non-fiction writers. They have had everyone from former Prime Ministers to comedians. Now in their 12th year this is the perfect opportunity to come along and meet your favourite authors, public figures, and celebrities. Or just meet some well known public figures, authors and celebrities!
Am I going to be made welcome?
The short answer is yes. The team of volunteers are very welcoming and will be happy to help point you in the right direction.
The people who go to this event are very happy to chat so make sure to have a bright smile and an eagerness for conversation. Like most conventions the more often you attend the better everyone gets to know you and the easier they become.
There will be book signings. This is a great opportunity to meet your favourite authors and buy their books. They are always happy to greet people, so no need to be shy! This is also a good time to ask them any questions you may not have had time ask during their talk or for whatever reason you could not make it to their talk, but had something you wanted to ask them, then this is the perfect opportunity.
Is there a bar or a cafe?
Yes, there is usually both as most of the festival will be taking place in hotels around Harrogate. Opening and closing times will vary depending on location so make sure to check out the event website before hand.
There are also plenty of cafes and restaurants in and around Harrogate centre. All within walking distance of the Crown Hotel and The Swan Hotel were most of the talks will be taking place.
When is it taking place?
The festival will run from the 10th-20th October 2024
