Things to do with the kids

March 23, 2020

A golden opportunity for the families out there who find themselves playing both parent and teacher roles all at once!

We have been thrown in to a bygone era, where the caregiver has to both home educate and care for their offspring, something which we used to do but haven’t done for quite some time now…

But with this uncertainty, comes a time for opportunity! So, if you are feeling at a loss with how you can keep your children (and yourself!) busy in this time, please read our tips below.

Tip 1: Get your children to help you with the household chores, such as making lunch, ironing and tidying. Teach them how they can do a good job.

Tip 2: Get outdoors! If you have a garden, now is the time to get outside in this sunnier weather and show your children how to weed, plant and tidy outdoor space. If you don’t have a garden, stay safe outdoors and listen to the 2 metre rule, but fresh air and vitamin D are our favourite kinds of medicine!

Tip 3: Get crafty! Been longing to make that cushion! Get to it and get the kids to help you. Textiles lesson, complete.

Tip 4: The Great British Bake Off – why not have a competition within your household between children and who can make the best tasting cake, biscuit, quiche or pie?

We hope you have enjoyed our tips.

Stay safe,
