June 27, 2022Eboracum or York as it’s known now was the capital of England back in the medieval ages.
Forever beautiful, this North East city lies to the South East of Harrogate.
Known for its breath taking cathedral, The Minster, the magnificent walls and its ghouls and ghosts (York is the most haunted city in Europe), this Northern city is just a 50 minute trip by car or 30 minute trip by train from Harrogate.
Nowadays you can expect a Harry Potter and Christmas shop, spine-chilling ghost tours, a brilliant Viking attraction, a fine (and huge!) art gallery, the Museum Gardens and stunning architecture all around. A lot of the original buildings remain with their enchanting thatched roofs and mullioned windows.
