The Great Yorkshire Show 15th-17th July 2021

Yes, it is back! Possibly one of the longest running events in North Yorkshire, The Great Yorkshire Show is a great day out for the whole family. 

There will be show jumping, dog agility, and other contests. There will also be the usual food stalls and plenty of opportunities for shopping. 

Tickets go on sale from the 1st of June 2021. Make sure you buy in advance! They will go fast!

The Theakston Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival 22nd-25th July 2021

We are delighted to see the return of The Theakston Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival.  

This extremely popular event is scheduled to be held at the Old Swan Hotel, just a short walk from the Valley Gardens.  

The event is regarded as the best crime writing festival, world-wide. It is must for all crime enthusiasts and authors! 

 This year’s programme is currently under wraps however event organisers Ian Rankin and Sharon Canavar have said an announcement will be made in the coming weeks.

Festival of Bees 30th-31st July 2021

Ever wanted to learn more about bees, beekeeping, and the importance of pollinators to the environment? Here is your chance. 

 

For the first time ever, the Festival of Bees is coming to Harrogate this July. The festival is being held at The Yorkshire Showground, and is the perfect follow up to The Yorkshire Show.  It is a chance to see beekeepers at work, learn more about bees in a new way and buy incredible honey! There will be fun workshops for children and a chance to see an actual hive! 

If you have ever thought about owning your own beehive this is the event for you.

The Gilbert & Sullivan International Live Event 8th-22nd August 2021. 

The theatres are re-opening which means the Gilbert and Sullivan Festival can go ahead. Cancelled due to Covid last year, the players cannot wait to perform these famous comedy operas. They have been rehearsing for over a year, so we can expect great things!
