This year the Yorkshire Comic Con is taking place at the Event Centre in Harrogate.
Running from the 22nd-23rd June 2024 this event is a must for anyone who interested in comic, tv and film.
Remember it is not all about superheroes, there will be plenty of special guests from the world of film and TV! So if you are a "Whovian", "A Summer Child" or a fan of Breaking Bad, Matilda or Flash Gordon you will not want to miss out.
"WHO" is coming!
That is right! Not one, not two, but three doctors will be there.
Colin Baker
A well know British actor for both TV and film, mostly associated with his role as the 6th incarnation of "the doctor" from Doctor Who. However, this was not his first role on the popular science fiction drama, as he played the part of a villain during the 5th doctors run.
In 1974 he played a character called Paul Merroney in the BBC drama entitled Brothers which ran for two years.
Paul McGann
Best known for his role as the 8th Doctor in the Doctor Who Movie (1996) as well as several audio productions. Aside from Doctor Who the English actor has had an extensive career since the late 80s, including the role of Lt Willian Bush in the Hornblower series back in the early 2000s.
Other credits include: "Empire of the Sun" (1987), Aline 3 (1992), Agatha Christi's Poirot (2003) and Luther (2010-2019)
Christopher Eccleston
Best known for playing the 9th Doctor for the rival of Doctor Who and the first actor to take up the mantel for nearly 10 years.
Prior to Doctor Who Christopher Eccleston made serval appearances in tv, stage and film including "Inspector Morse", "Hamlet" and "Our Friends in the North". After Doctor Who he appeared in "Heroes", "A Song for Marilyn" and "Thor: The Dark World".
Matilda will be there!
Mara Wilson, is best known for her work as a child actor in films including "Mrs Doubtfire", "Miracle on 34th Street" and Matilda. Since 2015 she has been in collaboration with Project UROK a mental health charity.
Breaking Bad: Giancarlo Esposito
Best know for his villainous role in Breaking Bad. He is also known for his voice over work in the Batman Animated Universe and more recently for his role in "The Maze Runner" trilogy.
The Brian Blessed is Coming!
Need I say more? With a career spanning decades, and as one of the most well known and beloved British actors it is an honour and a privilege to have him visit our town. Among his many well known roles, he is perhaps most remembered for the film "Flash Gordon" (1980) where he apeared along side Timothy Dalton. Some of you may remember him from "I, Claudius" (1976) and "Space:1999" (1975 and 1976) or for his role of Richard IV in the first series of "The Black Adder".
And that is barley scratching the surface...
